“Nebraska mourns the loss of one of our own, Sergeant Tietjens of Bellevue, who gave his life in service to our nation. I’m praying for his loved ones and holding them close in my thoughts, along with the families of the other brave service members killed in action.

“The First District is proud to be home to Offutt Air Force Base, U.S. Strategic Command, and countless service members, veterans, and their families. This news will surely affect many in our community, and they will remain in my thoughts as well during this difficult time.”
